One of the best aspect of the Architectural Centre is the events we have held. Site visits to buildings under construction and to finished developments, public talks and even design competitions!

With the aim of raising awareness and discussion about good design in the built environment, the Centre seeks to arrange events that highlight important issues in the built environment.

Issues can include:

• the quality of community housing
• sustainable use of resources in construction
• loss of community landmarks and spaces through demolition
• vibrancy of urban space
• adaptive reuse of building fabric
• the abuse of architecture as an imposition of power on public space
